How to Help Your Child

It is still vitally important for you to hear your child read and help with homework – like testing them on spellings and checking their homework is being completed and handed in on time. Multiplication tables are a vital part of Maths and every pupil in these year groups needs to know their tables by ‘instant recall’.

We often use the BBC Website for many different subjects and the spelling game and Maths games are both excellent for pupils in this class.

Homework – Year 2

Numeracy – each week

Spellings – each week

Reading – every night if possible year 1 and 2

Literacy – this can be in the form of a grammar exercise, or as a cross curricular link.

Education City

Pupils in Class 2 and Class 3 are registered on the Success Tracker on the Education City website, www.educationcity.com. The pupils are aware of how to access this fun learning website.
