About Our School
Established in the 1900's, Landulph School is set in extensive grounds close to
the river Tamar, on the edge of the village of Cargreen. In a recent
Sunday Times article 'Parent power: How to choose the best education for your
children', Landulph School was placed 10th out of the entire southwest of
England from Gloucester to Lands End.
Catchment Area
Landulph School serves the communities of Botus Fleming, Cargreen, Hatt and
Landulph itself.
Facilities
The school building was extended and fully modernised in 1982 It has three
spacious, light and airy classrooms, each with its own external access and
cloakroom. There is a multi-purpose Hall equipped for assemblies, drama
and gymnastics which also serves as a dining room. There are two open-plan
areas: one is used for teaching computing, art and design technology, while the
other houses a well-stocked Library, of which we are especially proud.
The grounds are extensive. There is a large playground and picnic area, with
outdoor tables and seating, and a Sports Field.
The school is connected to the Internet, and all children have hands-on computer
experience.
Security
Security of personnel on-site is of paramount importance. Visitors are
directed to Reception and issued with identity badges. Site security is
re-assessed annually by members of the Governing Body.
