Year 6 Leavers Assembly

At the recent Year 6 Leavers Assembly the leavers performed Landulph Year 6’s have TALENT.

We also wished Graeme Richards all the best as he has now left our Governors as Chair, after eight years, due to work commitments, and we wished him all success and thanked him for his hard work in helping the school move forwards. We presented him with gifts as a token of gratitude.

Mr Justin Lee from the local BBC came as our special guest and talked about his life in TV.  We were very grateful for his visit.

Harvest Festival

On the 2nd of October, class three practiced a play. Class two gave us a report on the vegetable plot in the field out side the school play ground. While class one sang three verses of Hooray for Harvest.

Recognition of Long Service

We had a big celebration at Landulph School recently in recognition of the long service (too long to mention?) of two of our staff members.

Gaye Woods worked initially as lunchtime assistant before supporting a specific child and finally becoming an invaluable part of the Class 1 team as a teaching assistant. She is infamous for her skills as a multi tasker and social secretary, long may it continue!

Doreen Darke is a steadfast, loyal team member who is very much part of the fabric of the school. As if managing the children at lunchtime wasn’t enough she has since volunteered to help run the hugely successful Wednesday breakfast club which keeps many children fed and happy (and the odd teacher too!).

Both can be seen here with Richard Hudson, one of our governors, being presented with a flower bouquet.
